Wyoming security deposit law
Your landlord has 30 days under Wyoming law to return your security deposit, or you may be owed more than what they withheld. If they keep more than they're legally allowed, you can dispute it.

Statute
Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 1-21-1208(a), (c)
COMMONLY MISSTATED AS A FLAT 30 DAYS — IT IS NOT. The balance of any deposit and prepaid rent, plus a written itemization of any deductions with reasons, must be delivered or mailed WITHOUT INTEREST within 30 days after termination of the rental agreement OR within 15 days after receipt of the renter's new mailing address, WHICHEVER IS LATER. IF THERE IS DAMAGE to the rental unit, that period is EXTENDED BY A FURTHER 30 DAYS (so up to 60 days from termination). The renter must, within 30 days of termination, notify the owner or designated agent of the location where payment and notice may be made or mailed. A separately identified UTILITIES deposit runs on its own schedule under subsection (b): refunded within 10 days of a satisfactory showing that all utility charges are paid; absent that showing within 45 days of termination, the owner applies it to the utility debt within 15 days thereafter, and any refund due is paid within 7 days after application or 15 days after receipt of the new mailing address, whichever is later.
Allowed
Not allowed
NO STATUTORY MULTIPLIER. Under § 1-21-1208(c), if the owner or agent UNREASONABLY fails to comply with subsection (a) or (b), the renter may recover THE FULL DEPOSIT AND COURT COSTS. There is no double or treble provision and no attorney-fee award to the tenant in this section. WARN THE TENANT OF REVERSE-COST RISK: if the owner is the prevailing party and the court finds the renter acted unreasonably in bringing the action, the OWNER may be awarded court costs.
